Conficker is celebrating its first birthday! Conficker is a Windows worm targeting flaws in the operating system to assign machines and link them into a virtual computer that can be commanded remotely by its authors. It is also known as Downup, Downadup and Kido which was first detected in November 2008. It uses a combination of advanced malware techniques making it difficult to counteract.
